Living in a family deeply affected by Sickle Cell, Langston understood that even the smallest victories — getting through a procedure, finishing a difficult day, or finding a moment of courage — are worth celebrating.

Together, Langston, who has been diagnosed with ADHD, and his mother Tahira, who was born with Sickle Cell Anemia, created Captain Small Wins™, a superhero designed to remind children that every small win matters.

From that idea, the Captain Small Wins Comfort Buddy™ was born.

This Comfort Buddy was created especially for children facing Sickle Cell crises, hospital stays, big emotions, and medical procedures, where courage is needed the most — especially during scary moments like when big needles are entering tiny veins.

Captain Small Wins™ is soft, comforting, and easy to hold, giving children something steady and reassuring during difficult moments. Many children hold their Captain Small Wins Comfort Buddy during treatments and procedures, feeling supported by a hug from a friend like them who understands.
